These old publications on slot cars and their history are priceless in my view. With the easy availability of modern tools, many of these older ideas can be implemented very inexpensively. It also amazes me to see the broad scope of the hobby back when I was just born. Very highly recommended reading. I cannot suggest a single favourite since there is virtually no overlap on any of these books. They all address different aspects of the hobby in varying detail. After reading all of these I realize that the hobby really has NOT changed much since back in the early 1960s. And that's a good thing. I hope you find these references helpful. Interestingly, with the exception of about four or five more modern books, these represent the entire hobby. That's a shame. But it's not too late to start. Someone should write a good book or two on the hobby today.
